The Christmas Story!

Well the stockings are hung and the kids are ready. For Santa has come and left many goodies!!! But first and most important of all we tell the Christmas Story! The TRUE meaning of Christmas. Grammpa and Todd read from Matthew and Luke and the kids have decided to act it out this year all on their own. They went running in all directions to get themselves ready. Then they set and listened. Here is a little of our Shaw side of Christmas. It brings tears of not just laughter but pure JOY in knowing that my kids know the true meaning of Christmas and are proud about it! Hope you all enjoy and have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Presents!!!

My trunk is full and running over!!! Life Tab is soooo awesome. I was blessed to be part of ANGEL TREE this year. I brought a need of 2 families to the church along with many other children in the community. Life Tab always comes through! They have the spirit of giving. I was blessed to be able to meet the mothers of these 2 families and give them their children's gifts. They cried, I cried it was so amazing to see the overwhelming thankfulness they had. These children would not have had Christmas with out LIFE TAB. One family just recently lost their daddy there is 2 little girls in this family. The other had a horrible house fire and lost everything they had 3 boys. Here is picture of the trunk of my trailblazer with seats put down. It felt like Santa's sleigh Madison said. The kids were just as excited to give as we were. Thanks again Life Tab for being SOOOOO awesome!

Christmas for Christ Offering

We have a beautiful evening at church bringing offerings to help our home missionoaries Our children enjoy making a card and wrapping their money they choose out of their piggy banks. I don't tell them to give the just want to give. We are so blessed to have such wonderful children who have giving hearts.

19 Days until Christmas

We were at the Bas Pro Shop and they had reindeer!
On DANCER, PRANCER, RUDOLPH and the gang come and see us soon!

Thanksgiving

We went to Dallas and had fun with Todd's family. It was a wonderful visit. We have a family tradition that everyone says something that they are thankful for before we eat. Even the children say what they are thankful for. I shot some video but the sound did not turn out. It was really neat how Madison and Mason started deciding what they would say days before we got there. They were thankful for God, the military people, our family and Church. Oh how blessed I am with 2 wonderful children!

Let it Snow

It snowed a few weeks ago and here are the pictures I got!

Here are the pics from the photo session with Madison and Mason's cousins Lauren, Alyssa, and Andrew. These are my mom and dad(the SHAW"S) and my sister;s kids They had a great time. We try to do this at least once a year if not every 6 months. Hope you enjoy

Bragging time

I must brag on my little Madison. She is in second grade and was asked to take part in 2 UIL events. One was writing and the other Storytelling. The writing part has not been graded yet. But in the storytelling she got 6th place out of 12-15 other second graders! We are so very proud of both our kids! God has truly blessed us with great kids that are full of the Holy Ghost!

Nice Saturday!

We sure enjoyed the day today! The kids played and played. The christmas lights are hung and the tree is up. Still have to deco the tree. But it was so nice this evening we enjoyed a nice bike ride (not the harley) with the kids down our beautiful street. It was so much fun. The kids just laughed and laughed! Oh the memories we made tonight! Hope you all had a blessed day and can't wait to see you all in Sunday School!

Happy Birthday!!!!

Well today is another very special day! Madison turns 8 years old! Wow does time fly fast. It just seems like yesterday we took her home form the hospital. But she is growing into a beutiful young lady. I have had to clean out her closet, the cute little girl clothes are getting to small. We still find very cute stuff but I miss the smocking and lace:( But at least she will still wear hair bows. I have noticed my public hugs and little kiss are getting less and less. But at least she still likes to curl up next to me at home. I will take all I can get LOL!!!!

Madison, You are such a beutiful young lady and mommy and daddy are so very proud of you! I am sad to see my baby growing up but I am truly blessed to be able to see you growing into such a beautiful young lady who loves the Lord! Your perky little chatty self is just so cute and I can't wait to see how God uses you throughout your life!

We love you bunches

The News!

I don't know how many have heard. I know I have told a few. Bro. Hunt's Church in lufkin was in revivall ast week and had over 160 1st time visitors in service Sunday morning. They started last wed. and did outreach in the evenings. Even until the weeee ours of the morning. The church was open and the baptisimal tank was ready. From wed to wed of this week they have had over 70 people get baptized and at least 1/3 or more of them receive the Holy Ghost. They had one man that they invited to church and he came. Not relizing until he got there that he had drugs in his pocket. When he stepped into the church he remembereded and told an usher that he could not go in yet. He went and flushed it down the toliet. He was baptized a few minutes later and came up speaking in a heavenly language!!!!! A Mighty revival is happening! Lets go out and reach the lost they are hungry for what we have!!!

Just a Thought!

Wow This sure is eye opening! I received this in my email today (thanks Roxana)! I thought I would post it for all to see.

Cell Phone vs. Bible

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our
cell phones?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go ...hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to
worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!

Makes you stop and think where are my priorities!
And hey no dropped calls even!

Rodeo!

What is the State Fair of Texas without a RODEO!!!! The kids got to participate in the peewee rodeo. They even won there events. Here is a few pictures of the cowgirl and cowboy!!!

More of the Fair!

There was a artist there who did a huge sand sculpture. He had an area set up for the kids to have the opprutunity to build castles! He even was helping the kids!

State Fair Animals

We went to the State Fair last weekend. It was so much fun! We even ran into the Mercer clan! The kids enjoyed the petting ZOO!

Window Shopping!

We love to go window shopping. We enjoyed doing so in Dallas this weekend. one venture was to a furniture store. The kids found the beds they want. So we are sharing the top picks with you! SWEET DREAMS

Yummy!

We had reservations at a really good resturant in Southlake on friday night!!!! YUMMY is all I can say! We even got to sit at the table in the kitchen! It is definantly a sanguiaan table you great everyone who comes through the building. The kids had a blast! ssshhh don't tell but I think the adults did to LOL! Sitting in the kitchen you get to see everything.....and I mean everything. They bring every dish by your table and you get to see every plate. I know of a few things I want to try in the future. The kitchen sometimes sings and it was just great. As you can tell the portions are huge it is definitly family dinning!

Getting caught up!

Here are pictures of Mason getting his Holy Ghost Bible from Bro. Elms!!! He was so excited he couldn't even talk!

Cameron Hair!

One final post for tonight! HAHAHA Sorry I had to get caught up :) Mason was in the tub and the next thing I hear is Mom come quick! I arrive to the following face. And he is saying Mom Cameron changed his hair here is my new Cameron haircut!
He has always Looked up to Cameron and Chad. Ask sister Lori he always asks for the Cameron haircut. Well I don't know that his hair will hold up as good as Cameron's but i am sure Sis Lori will try! Its amazing what shampoo can do to your hair.

Jeannie's Big Day!

Here are a few pictures I took Of the beautiful wedding! Jeannie and jeff we are so proud for you! We love ya'll Bunches! May God's blessings be upon this union.

Growing up!

Molly is 8 months old now and she is still cute as a button! Here are a few random pics of her!

New name???

Madison has another Madison in her class.......so she has decided to be called Maddy at school. But she emphasises that it is only at school. She is so funny! But she still uses her full name when it comes to her creative stuff at school. As you can see on the next few pictures! We are loving school. The kids are loving seeing Todd and I throughout the day. When school is out the walk right down to my room or some days they stop off at Mrs. Hanks room to jump in the balls or Madison's favorite the library. The teachers all love them and will give them little odd jobs to do to pass the extra 45min they stay late. Then we hit the homework! Not to bad so far. I think Madison has decided to be a librarian when she grows up! Well enjoy the pics and check back I will add a few more tomorrow!
