Field Day!

The kids had a great day! They did great in their events. And the funny part is they did as good as all the other kids who asked, "how will you do that in a skirt?" Then later told Madison you can do anything in a skirt can't you! Of course she wasn't bothered by their comments she knew what she could do! Mason was the only little boy in jeans and a few made comments but one of his friends said, "he doesn't have to dress like us he is cool the way he is and hey he will not skin his knees if he falls down. I love what kids come up with!

Bragging rights!

I have bragging rights! This year has been a challenge for me at my job. I have worked in the Special Ed Dept. all year. All of our kids are in regular ed classes, its called inclusion! These kids are pulled to work one on one, They get lots of tutoring and help AKA my job! I have really had to dig deep and remember way way way back.....but I did it. I have really enjoyed working with "MY KIDS".......Well I know the teachers get 99% of the credit but I am bragging on my kids! We got TAKS scores back today and some of my kids who have never passed a TAKS Passed this year!
I even had several that got Commended!!! They ALL passed this year!!!! They have worked sooo hard this year and I am sooooo proud! I know its not my doings but it feels good being part of it all! You should have seen these kids faces when we told them that they passed and even got commended! I couldn't help but cry like a proud momma!

Fun in the Sun!

While we are working on the land the kids have been really good. But now they are going to have lots of fun! We got an awesome deal on a go cart! Yes grandparents they will wear helmets. Yes there is a kill switch! Surprisingly they do drive pretty good. I guess it pays to have had a barbie jeep and a John Deer tractor jeep! My camera battery died so I did not get video.....but don't worry I will and i bet it will be funny!

For my friend!

Alright Sue here are a couple pictures of the tables and the chandelier at our tea! this post is just for you! I guess I failed to get a picture of the other tables that had other centerpieces on it. But they were beautiful! A glass vase with tree branches and little glass jars delicately hanging from them with a tea light candle inside. The deco was just beautiful!!!! And the presence of God was incredible. Our speaker spoke straight to our hearts both young and old. it was just a wonderful evening altogether!

Day on the Farm!

We went out working on the farm today. Cutting down mesquite bushes and just checking out the land. The kids just have a blast roaming all over the place. They want to save their money up and buy a go cart. I told them they would have to talk to their grandfathers. But on this day we saw beautiful yellow flowers form the cactus and a horny toad. Todd was able to catch the horny toad and let the kids see it up close. Then we let him go and eat more ants. Madison of course informed us that the horny toad is endangered species. It is amazing what a almost 3rd grader knows. The kids are very careful on the land they know to watch for snakes and not to turn back sticks and stones. They are having so much fun! I love watching them just running around using their imagination. It reminds me of all the wonderful summers I spent on my Nanny and Pawpaw's farm. I got to telling the kids about when I was little. Oh the memories!!!!

Awesome Church!

The power of God was awesome at church today! It is always good but today felt really good! The church is so on fire! The awesome things that are in store for Life Tab are so electrifying. The excitement of things to come are in the air! We had a wonderful minister and his family preach today and the Lord really used them to bless the church. I will leave out names on purpose, but most know who I am talking about so I can leave it at that. God has a plan for Life Tab we just need to continue to seek God's will with fasting and prayer until the end. We have to go through the process but God already has our pastor picked out just for us. I am glad HE knows what He is doing. In case they read my blog Thank you Bro. & Sis ??? for a wonderful day! We are praying for God's will to be completed. We hope you and your family were just as blessed as we were today!

Great Morning!

Well the kids wanted to fix me breakfast in bed, but my request was donuts that's really what they would rather have. Of course I did get my wish STARBUCKS! Bro.Elms preached this morning and it was awesome. He truly preached his heart to Life Tabernacle. I know its hard that they are leaving but God is an on time God and he will give us a pastor that will continue to build Life Tabernacle into what God has promised. The church must stay strong and seek the will of God. As long as we are unified then God will provide all of His Promises.
